I have a fashion secret…I cannot walk passed a fur jacket or accessory in a store and NOT have a gravitational pull directly towards that particular piece. I literally stop in my tracks to touch, try it on, and dream that it could be sitting in my own wardrobe ASAP. Fur coats are not just for the ladies that lunch. Jackets and coats both real fur and faux are showing up in outfits in every style, shape and form. Off duty runway darlings’ particularly favor fur, along with fashion bloggers and street style stars.
Fur coats have come a very long way from the 40’s when starlets would don a fox stole with the head still attached (gross). Or a trend equally horrid, in my opinion, the long mink coat paired with white reeboks by the female New York finance professional in the 80′s (bad). Fast forward to today, where designers have incorporated both real and faux furs into their lines with a modern and sophisticated twist. Not only is it super chic, but also the true fact is fur keeps you warm especially if you live in cold weather climates. New York City can get be blustery in February, I know first hand.
Here are a number of ways how you can rock the fur trend and look on fashion https://www.viagrapascherfr.com/pilule-type-viagra/ point:
Fur vest over a blazer
A favorite of mine. This is such an easy way to add chicness instantly. Take a stab at pairing your fun fur vest over a simple blazer. Either can be done over a business suit to add a little pizzazz to the 9-5 or with denim/blazer combo for a hip Saturday brunch with friends.
Copycat a fashion blogger
Jump onto Pinterest or any social media site and you will see a multitude of street style darlings sportn’ simple t-shirts, distressed jeans, converse sneakers and an oversize shag fur. Mixing cotton, denim, a bright gloss, a messy bun and a fur has become on fleek. Try it, I did and felt just as chic and hip as an off duty model (well without their sky high legs of course).
Think outside of the typical color waive
Sure, Halston made the white fur a must have in the 60′s but as of recent, designers have incorporated a rainbow of hues into their collections. You cannot walk into a boutique or department store without spotting faux or real fur in bold colors and even pastels.
Fur as a layering piece
Try a vest over a tunic dress paired with a high shaft boot for a bohemian feel. Or challenge yourself with a long maxi dress added with a cropped less bulky fur like rabbit or faux shearling to create a stylish look during the afternoon hours.
Head to a consignment shop and find a vintage fur
It’s easier on the wallet and you can add a new satin liner, belting a stole or taking your new piece to the cleaners for them to modernize the lines with a nip and a tuck. I enjoy whipping out my Grammy’s piece for a bit of old school glamour.
